Newly added
to my antique camera "MOD" collection.
Almost nothing was done to the camera (Kodak Ansco 120 and its lens)
but The Voigtlander Compur shutter was milled and attached to the body temporarily.
Test shot wasn't good enough but I had a fun. gott
a use different grade papers for the negs.

The biggest and oldest
camera I  have ever owned..
Recently acquired 8"x10" E. & H.T. Anthony & Co. wet plate camera, manufactured in New York, 1884.

This beauty comes with Eureka 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 Allen Bro's Acents brass barrel lens with waterhouse stop.
If you ever want to make portraits with ancient photographic processes, you need to find a camera with straight bellows and a large lens board. If the bellows are tapered the lens board will only be big enough for slower landscape type vintage lenses.
For this reason, this baby will serve a part of the "Ansel Adams" purpose of mine. I should start bicycling with her in my backpack pretty soon..

Visado De Artista: Imagen Latente- Foto Encuentro 2008

Basically the project consists on using a disposable camera to photograph the artist's surroundings responding to some questions: what do we see?, what can we see? what should we see? what do we want to see? what should not we see? what is impossible to see? The idea is not to develop the photographs instead the photographers will write what the images are about, following the questions on an instruction form, that should be printed out on some sort of orange, letter sized paper, writing the answers by hand and mailed to the gallery along with the actual disposable camera. The gallery will display the actual camera that came from somewhere in the world or the country, the orange sheet,a portion of the text will be blown up. the project is called visado de artista:imagen latente (latent image) Adj.1.latent - potentially existing but not presently evident or realized;

My new
Soldiers. Clockwise starting from upper left; German Emil Busch A-G. Rathenow 300mm, Bausch & Lomb 6",  E. Suter Basel 90mm, and Broude 6.5"x8.5". They are all Petzval type rack and pinion lens except the Broude one (Rapid rectilinear type with water house stop) All of them are now mountable to my Horseman 4x5 camera. I had some light leak issue with a customized homemade lens board but it was fixed easily after some darkroom tests. All ready to go shooting.

Wii tennis screen shot. I should go to Wimbledon! lol
This will be my next buddy. Think I will spend more time on this over Resident Evil because of its intuitive simplicity. All you have to do is just shooting without thinking. It is reminiscent of old "Time Crisis" type games.

Well, I first need this one to play the House of the dead...Regards,

Wet Collodion Self Portrait
My first wet collodion 5"x7" ambrotype made on glass @the O's Studio in Rochester, New York.
I was just thrilled to see how fine quality "no" grain feel it would make at the moment the plate developed.
Whole process is so visual as exactly the master told me. I believe that every single ambrotype plate has its own spirit...
btw, I somewhat look like a bad ass here, and just noticed some gain in my weight.
